Moogerah Lakeside Bush Retreat is a family-run outdoor education and retreat facility located on the shores of beautiful Lake Moogerah.
Megan and Ben are our names, and together with our five children we are proud to call the lake home.
We are passionate about creating a relaxed and welcoming environment where school groups, church groups, families and community groups can connect with nature, enjoy the outdoors and experience everything the Scenic Rim has to offer.
From cabins and bunkhouse accommodation through to basic camping experiences, our retreat offers flexible accommodation options suited to a variety of group and outdoor education experiences.

What is there to do at Moogerah Lakeside?
Whether it’s exploring the natural environment, enjoying outdoor education experiences, sharing stories around the campfire or simply relaxing by the lake, there is something special here for everyone.
Head out for a stroll in our pristine bushland. There are several tracks and all of them are easy walks. Spot Koalas, Kangaroos and our resident goanna!
Moogerah Dam is stocked with Australian Bass, Mary River Cod, Golden and Silver Perch. Some fantastic catching and eating here!
We have several boats and kayaks for hire, or bring your own! Skiing, fishing, or just cruising are all welcomed here.
Lets face it, life gets busy. Why not slow down for once? When permitted, campfires are welcomed. Grab a camp chair, sit and cook a marshmallow. Relax.
Our retreat provides a unique outdoor environment where students and groups can connect with nature, enjoy exciting outdoor adventures, build friendships, challenge themselves and create lifelong memories through experiential and nature-based learning experiences.

AratulaThe small village of Aratula, at the foot of Cunningham’s Gap in South East Queensland, has long served as a resting place for weary travellers crossing the Great Dividing Range and has several wonderful spots includeing a bakery, cafe and fruit shop.
Mt AlfordHome to the Scenic Rim Brewery among many other things, Mt Alford is a beautiful little town offering beautiful views and rolling countryside. Make sure to pop into the lavender farms too!
